A few words about Berlin

Berlin is a beast.  It is a city as filthy as it is vibrant.  It re-creates itself perpetually yet cannot seem to get out of its own past.

 Graffiti is everywhere.

Almost everything seems gray and apocalyptic.

The remains of the Berlin wall stand in ugly surroundings; it looks like a ghetto.

It really is a wonderful city, though.  Germany is one thing, Berlin another.
